I've found that using a constant temperature makes some ant colonies a bit passive. Well, I'm not too sure about that. :D In the nature temperatures do vary and more natural is always better so I'd increase the warmth during the day.

I have my Pheidole now always at 26-28 degrees and they are doing great, but temperature fluctuations are more natural.
