Dirt nests work well as long as there is something to give the dirt structure.
Plants and sticks work well.

What time of dirt should I use? Just dirt from my garden?

Yes, just not ants for obvious reasons. :p
Many of the insects in your garden are decomposers and will help with maintenance of the nest.

How big of a container would I want for the dirt? And would that serve as an outworld too, like the golden empire?
