Moving???

Hello,
In the winter is it OK to move my pavement ants into the mini hybrid nest series from a test tube setup connected to an AC test tube portal? Also, if I connect them to the mini hybrid nest, how am I suppose to feed them? The AC portal cannot connect to the mini hybrid nest.
