Moving ants into a formicarium
Hi I recently moved my lasius niger ants into a small formicarium after they were pulling at the cotton wool of their test tube and they had about 15 workers or so and in the time shortly after they moved in the workers would explore the outside bit but no longer seem to be doing this and just stay in the test tube underneath and don't go outside at all despite me regularly putting food and water out. Did I move them too early and this is nothing to worry about or is something more serious going on?

Re: Moving ants into a formicarium
It should be fine, only feed if you see them hunting. My guess is that they just wanted some food to get kick started at the colony.
Why don’t more people like ants?
Is anyone from Wyoming who wants to sell ants?
