Hygrometer set up

Just purchased a two in one thermometer and hygrometer, but feel clueless as to how and where I would set this up for my Tetramorium colony to be the most optimal. any ideas on how I should approach this issue

What formicarium are they housed in?
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
