Been tinkering around in CAD, and made this based off of Caswal's Modular Ant Formicarium

Would this work as a test tube replacement? Would like some opinions before I waste my time printing any :)
The holes in the side to the hydration chambers are 1mm x 1mm. The connection hole is somewhere in the region of 9mm wide so should fit all but the fattest of queen ants ;)

looks good to me tho I wouldn't make a "founding chamber" as a test tube setup is often the most perfect living area for them until 10-20 workers, when you could instead 3d print a formicarium for them from the material you'd use here
Look up my posts for my 3d formicarium and if you like it I can give you the file

To be fair, this only uses about 7g of PLA :P and about another 1g for the lid
So in terms of materials its only about £0.15 :)

Side note, I have formicarium designs already that work with this sort of interlocking connections.
