I'm just curious.
I started ant keeping when I saw a ant queen flying around our house and I research about ant and the rest is history I guest.

I haven't started yet! The reason is they (my ants) are truly keeping me! They have me trained to feed them, water them, clean out their nests, spend my money on them. LoL

I started keeping ants just a couple of weeks ago, the reason that got me into it is youtube, i was browsing the site and came across Mikey Bustos Solenopsis video's. I was intrigued starting doing research and caught my first Lasius niger queens.
At first i was way to enthusiastic while catching and i quickly filled 40 testtubes , realizing 40 colonies is a bit much to keep i set all but 5 queens free.

About 2 months now and learning a lot quickly, I have 6 queens altogether.
