Collecting ant colonies from the wild?
Is it possible to collect an ant colony fron the wild by leaving a pre made nest outside, and wait for them to move in to it?

Unlikely. Living underground is far preferable.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
Re: Collecting ant colonies from the wild?
yes just because the ants can dig their own tunnels. they can choose the right humidity and they have spring tails and other cleaners to help them and their nest stay clean

I am aware of this, but in AntsCanada's video, the Fire Nations' queen preferred the formicarium instead of the dirt bin

When do you find queens at the top of nests?
