Army Ants?
Hey guys, is there anyone on this forum that keeps any species of army ants? I just think that it would be interesting for someone to try to keep this species of ant they're just so cool and are very unique in their living styles.

Re: Army Ants?
Well now I think about it there is another type of army ant,
Pheidologeton diversus the Southeast Asian army ant, that can be held they don't move. But I don't think their the same like the more known species from South-America.

It is nearly impossible to keep colonies of army ants but I suppose it is possible with some species. I know the local Neivamyrmex only feed on ant brood so it would be a pretty costly operation to keep a whole colony considering how much they eat.
