Sidewalk Ants
Does Sidewalk Ants hibernate, I have a brown ant that comes out when temps are above 50f looking for food. I put out a drop of Honey and they feed on it when temps are 50f and up.

Re: Sidewalk Ants
We would have to see them and know their scientific name to answer that question.
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.
Re: Sidewalk Ants
I'm assuming by 'Sidewalk Ants', you mean Pavement Ants. Their scientific name is Tetramorium Sp. E, or now known as Tetramorium Immigrans. A side & top picture will help with the ID. Also location, and temperature when caught.
Good luck!

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
