Hey guys. I was wondering how do ants determine the job of an ant. Do they do this while the ant is still just a larvae? thanks.

I can't answer your question but i can try and tag another question on lol. Is it true some colonies caste system changes according to the age of the ant? I.E. can move from a worker to a soldier etc?
