My insect collection so far. (Caution lots of pics!)

This summer I started collecting insects. I make sure only to collect at maximum of one male and one female of each species. I have not yet IDed most of them because I am going to spend my time in the winter when there are no insects to ID them. Feel free to ask questions and if you would like to know how to do this just ask :D

This is so neat!! I'll have to show my son. I've always thought about doing something like this for him as he wants to become an entomologist. I'm going to test him to see how many he can identify. 😁

Do you find them live and then have to wait for them to die in a vial?

Thx! :D Just put alcohol soaked cotton balls in the jar with a piece of cardboard on the cotton. The fumes put them to sleep and then they pass away.
