Somewhat Parasitic

Hey everyone. A while ago, I caught a camponotus queen and for a while, she didn't lay any eggs. I decided to collect some eggs and larvae from another camponotus nest and put it inside of her test tube. She immediately took to them and started caring and feeding them. Now she has hatched workers from the rival nest and they are tending to her every need. I wonder why this is and does this behavior in someway resemble a parasitic ant queen? Thanks. ;)

She just doesn't what is natural, caring for the brood. And because the brood has no colony scent yet she sees it as her own. What you did was actually brood boosting.
