Need help

One of the queens I caught was trying to escape the test tube by digging the cotton. She was still digging after I left her in the dark after a while. Is there anything wrong I could have done that made her uncomfortable?

Was it a normal test tube set up? What species is she?

Dunno. Just a red queen 10 mm long.

One of the others escaped when I just checked on them and found her still in my drawer luckily...
