Temperate Ants In Humid Conditions
Hello there!
I live in a temperate region, and was just wondering, would a temperate species of ant be able to survive in a very humid terrarium?
It would likely be camponotus or tetramorium.
Thanks, ANTphibian.

Re: Temperate Ants In Humid Conditions
Depends. Some ants (like Myrmica sp) like it wet. Camponotus not so much and Messor definitely not.
Re: Temperate Ants In Humid Conditions
It depends on the species. Most Camponotus species like dry wood or soil, but some species do like it a bit more moist.
Re: Temperate Ants In Humid Conditions
Just another question, are there any plants/ things I should avoid?
