Can Ant Eggs Drown?

Recently I accidentally flooded the test tube set-up where my queen ants, who had already laid eggs, were staying, and they left their test tube and the eggs got soaked in water. I am worried that the eggs got drowned or something because after almost two weeks I am not seeing any significant growth in the eggs. Is this a cause for concern or should I just be more patient?

I don’t think ant eggs drown- some ants like fire ants make rafts out of the eggs when it’s rain season and the nest is flooded, although if they are completely submerged in water then they can die.

How long have they been submerged for?
Ants are better than termites lol

I don't think eggs drown, but being under water for too long can kill them.
Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right where you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that aren't in your area.
