So oddly not much has changed. She has only had 4 workers all this time. Only recently has she laid a few more eggs, but as far as I can tell there's only one left which one of the workers is taking care of. I'm not sure why there's no progress here but the queen and the current workers are very active when I check on them. They don't seem much interested in eating.

:?:
oh no. I see a repeat of 'I-will-not-lay-any-eggs-as-i-want-you-to-be-sad' which happened to my carpenter ant queen who had workers. I think it is some trait of only camponotus
I caught a queen with one worker and yea, she lays an egg a day(HOW FOR CAMPONOTUS)
so lucky. camponotus is a PAIN
keeping:
all my queens died :(
got a sugar ant colony started :)

If they don’t lay any eggs… I was worried, as my Floridanus I bought didn’t lay eggs before a worker died.

Camponotus needs luck
Luck: 1/10
Fire ant success: 9/10
….
Well if you think about it, you could probably scientificly inject ant ****, but I am not sure where you would get it.

I mean, it is possible to forcefully mate fire ants, but it involves killing a male, and the female has to have wings, and basically drug the queen. I don’t do it though…
