just a little encouragement for all the queen hunters here.
last year i caught hundreds of queens, the ones on the green card are the losses from that season.
the ones in the tube are the losses from this year already.
queens die all the time, thats why they have such big flights and numbers.
so dont get discouraged. just go out and find more.

How many queens do you think based on your experience should be a good mark in order to start a good set of colonies?
My biggest fear as a newcomer to the hobby its to end too short on queens and realize the mistake too late on the season and have to wait a whole year to try again!

You honestly don't need to collect hundreds of them. Some queens will die, but most will survive.
