do you have any pictures of each side omni nest side by side? the normal ones and vertical? like there should be a thing on the shop that shows how many ants it might hold.

Ah yes, maximum capacity of the formicariums isn't mentioned because the number can vary, however for an idea as to how much the formicariums can hold, our Smallest formicaria i.e. Omni Nest Small and Hybrid Nest Small still hold thousands of ants. If you do not believe me, feel free to look up our video "Moving an Ant Colony into an Omni Nest Large". The colony consisted of several thousands of ants and when they actually moved into the Omni Nest large it didn't fill the Omni Nest Large at all. It would have perhaps almost filled an Omni Nest Small, with extra space to spare.

Even large ants like Camponotus occupy a surprisingly little amount of space. They also love to pack themselves into the chambers.

In light of this, an Omni Nest Small can last an ant keeper at least a year or more, especially if they live in an area where ants hibernate. We urge those buying our larger formicariums to do so when they have a huge colony to rehome. It is easy to overestimate appropriate formicarium size.
Ant Love Forever.
