Hibernation questions

Put my Lasius Neoniger queen into hibernation yesterday! I had an old computer box with some compartments in it. I put her test tube in one of them, and stuffed the rest of the space with a grocery bag,
so she won't be rolling around. Closed up the box and put her in to garage! I'm hoping that the breeze from opening the garage several times a day won't harm her. Where should she be placed in a garage? closer or farther away from the door? I currently have her in the back of my garage, farthest from the garage door. When I was handling the test tube however, I messed up and accidentally let it roll a little bit. She fell into the small drop of honey I have for her, and her abdomen got a good amount of honey on it (though the drop of honey is so small she had no trouble getting up). I'm just hoping this won't harm her. Thoughts are welcome!

no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

i hope that won't harm her, remember to be very careful with your queens. The queen should be placed in a constant temperature, so if the door changes the temperature, it should be placed away from it.

I don't think change of temperature will harm her unless it gets too extreme.
What is the temperature of your garage in winter?

My garage gets to be about in the mid forties.

No need to worry then, unless temperature falls a lot below zero.
