Curious to know what species this worker is

Sorry if these aren't the best pictures. I find these workers everywhere around my neighborhood. They have a red thorax with a black head and black abdomen, longer limbs, and longer antennae.
This worker measured at about 8mm.

Im not entirely sure, but i would hazard a guess at A Camponotus spp. worker :).

Formica sp., but not possible to identify from this distance.
