Feed them when the first worker hatches. A drop of honey in an outworld (not in the tube) Will be good. also a fruit fly. they may not accept food for a while, but dont shove it in their tube as this causes mold and stress. (ram a 1 inch section of drinking straw between the side of the tube and the exit cotton for a nice little entrance. ) If they are hungry, they will forage and eat.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
