Wine cooler for hibernating

So I've been trying to come up with a solution for hibernating my ants. This is my first attempt at keeping ants. I currently have 8 formica spp. Queens. So I was looking at using a second hand mini fridge but I figured if I was gonna buy something I would like to buy something where I can set the temp exactly so I decided a wine cooler. I found a second hand one for a reasonable price.

My question is:
Will this function like a fridge or are wine coolers air tight and suffocate my ants.

Does anyone have any experience using a wine cooler in this way?

Ants like warm weather. This is the reason ants are seen active only in summers. Being a cold-blooded animal they go inactive in winters. The inside temperature of the https://www.popularwinecoolers.com/magic-chef-wine-cooler/ is low, hence ants will become inactive there.

Multiple people have used and will use the wine cooler. Which is actually an ideal environment for them. If you're worried about the air (I don't foresee any problems) you could always open the door/lid every once in a while to let some fresh air in.
