Would it be possible to hold two different species in the same large omni nest vertical via constricting access to each others floor? Or would it stress them out being just a few millimeters apart and cause harm? Maybe slowly develope them from either end. Thoughts?

I don't see why it wouldn't possible. Many ant keepers keep huge colonies inches apart, although I see your point. Perhaps it might be a good idea to leave a floor between them and stuff its chambers with vinegar soaked cotton, which I believe blocks pharamone trails, to stop the colonies sensing each other.
Beep, boop.

Good plan, thanks. That should prevent any ant wars.
