I've noticed recently on one of my queens there is a small creature of some sort residing under the queens neck, it moves around but never comes off, what is it?

Most likely is a mite. Look at the other ants, if she has one there will be others.

Hopefully you can get rid of the problem before workers hatch.

My iPhone camera isn't good enough to see it, but it looks a lot like this image I found on google. (https://gyazo.com/2692f988277c51c6f4bfc94e84b82675)
Those two antenna are the things that caught my attention, at first I thought my queen had some sort of deformity, then upon closer inspection I saw it was a separate organism.

The image looks like a clover mite. They only eat grass, leaves etc but I have no idea why it would be on your queen. At least try taking a photo of the mite yourself.

Don't quote me, though.
