Worker I'd please

I have a worker ant found in new Hampshire, its colony was in Sandy soil in a rarley used driveway, I have found the queen but I have put her in a formicarium with 100 workers without taking pictures of her. I have pictures of the worker I will post those in the comments when I have access to a computer.

To me the worker looks like a formica it's red upper half black lower half, wasn't in much organic matter mostly sand clay nested in a rock layer under neath to keep warm, no megas of any type small or large, the queen is a deep red and kinda bulldog built.... sorry of the inconvenience of not having access to throw the photos up right away.

It's most likely Formica paf. Or it could be Myrmica sp.
