Caught 7 Camponotus Queens today!

Well it was 90F here today in Ravensdale WA and the Camponotus queens are out in force. Me and my son caught 7 queens within 10 yards of our home. We already have a campo queen we caught earlier in the spring with eggs, so we will probably need to find a home for most of these later if the have eggs.

So five have eggs. I assume the other two are not fertile. I guess I will just release them.

Well, this is what mine looked like, its Camponotus novaboricensis. Also size matters, it's 1.5 cm long

If you want them identified by a pro, take good pictures and post them in the identification section of the forum.
