Moving the Queen to a new test tube?

Hi All

Jack's Lasius Niger Queen is due to come out of hibernation this week, weather is warming up and she is starting to get active. The problem is the test tube is now quite dirty, and the water at the bottom is all but dried up so will need to move her to a new test tube. She does not have any eggs or workers. Is the a good way of doing this?

Thanks in advance

Offer a better situation. Let her decide when to move.

Just to add a bit of clarification on this in case you didn't understand what he meant, make a new test tube up and connect them somehow. A lot of people tape them together but try to make sure there is a way for air to still get into it somehow. Another method is if you have a test tube portal that would allow you to connect two of them together. Don't try to force her to move she will move when she is ready to. Good luck!

Hey Jack put the old test tube with her in it into a bowl or something along with another test tube with water. After some time she should move to the one with water then cover the new one.
