you found a tetramorium queen! cool! SO these ants grow very fast and within a month or so you should see your first workers. I caught my tetramorium queen in june and now, four months later I have about 40 workers!Juzmeski wrote:Guys im pretty sure that this time i got a quenn but still im not sure.

Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.

If I am not mistaken, but do not quote me on it, Tetramorium queens don't eat during the colony's founding period, their flight muscles and abdomen are packed with the nutrients they need to survive the first few weeks they're first brood is developing. If you want, according to AntsCanada, you can MAYBE try to give her the tiniest iota of sugar water or honey water, but otherwise, just leave her be until the niantics hatch.
