Singapore nuptial flight sightings

After coming across the massachusett nuptial flight, I thought that we singaporeans should also have a calendar of the nuptial flight of different ant species in Singapore. If you found a queen, pls reply in this forum where you find it(closest MRT station), when you find it, and if possible, the species that you have found. Thank you in advance for making ant keepers' lives in singapore a much easier one. :D

Actually if u want to find queens ants you just need to wait for it to rain and after the rain the bugs that come in your house will most likely be male or female alates.

It depends, even if the nuptial flight season is over there would be still Queen ants popping out out of nowhere. So it is almost impossible to predict when each species would have its nuptial flight ;)

just wait for about a 2h rain to stop before ant hunting, that would give you the highest chance of catching a queen :D . Just don't trip and fall onto the concrete floor because you are chasing a queen ant ;) :D

This thread is very very old, please don't post on very old threads.
My current colonies:
-Miniature Military(formica neogagates)
-Black Hearts(crematogaster cerasi)
In search of new camponotus colony
[Have a look at antmaps.org]
