Hey everyone
I have had loads of success catching wild colonies and none raising a colony from a queen
So I was wandering if u could catch wild colonies, keep them for a week or 2 to make sure they adjust to captivity and have a healthy brood pile? Please reply

Re: Wild caught colonies for fan project
How long have you kept the wild-raised colonies for?
If you enjoy my expertise and identifications, please do not put wild populations at risk of disease by releasing pet colonies. We are responsible to give our pets the best care we can manage for the rest of their lives.

I have recently caught a wild colony, with queen and roughly 20-25 workers or so. I've had them now for lil over a week and seem to be doing great.
