Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
I caught a Tetramorium queen yesterday so they must be flying, also she's my first queen I'm hoping she mated
Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
We've had similar weather - I'm hoping we get flights soon.

Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
Hi guys I'm interested in starting a large multi queen colony preferably of tetramorium and am not having any luck if anyone here is willing to help please pm me and I also have camponotus queens I would be willing to trade I have tried to get my own colony but can't seem to have any luck.
Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
One thing I found out very early on in this hobby is that it takes a LOT of patience. Unless someone is willing to give you a mature colony it is going to take a few years for you to go from a queen to a large mature colony. If there is any shortcut around this fact I certainly have not found it yet.Andrew17888 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 10:36 amHi guys I'm interested in starting a large multi queen colony preferably of tetramorium and am not having any luck if anyone here is willing to help please pm me and I also have camponotus queens I would be willing to trade I have tried to get my own colony but can't seem to have any luck.

Going away for 5 weeks and have some queens I would like to trade or sell will give good price if you come and get them
Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
I caught two Odorous house ant queens yesterday, so they're flying or budding around. And also I saw huge Tetramorium flight two days ago but I didn't catch any.

Re: Massachusetts Flight Sightings
Lasius Neoniger (I think?) flew this evening, expecting more flights. I only caught 2 queens, both winged, but no attempt to fly and their fixation on grooming themselves suggests they have mated.
