Happened to go camping in the Utah mountains on Nuptial Flight Day for Camponotus. It was awesome :)

Wow, i've only caught one this season!

Do you know if they are still flying in the Mid-west?

A friend collected 12 or so four days ago in the same spot I collected these, so there seem to be some still out there, at least here in the Utah mountains.

Nice! I'm working up in Connecticut so even if I found some queens up here I couldn't keep them anyways beings I live in Alabama. ;)

I would hate finding a queen out of state knowing that I couldn't bring her home! Best bet is to keep your eyes off the ground :)
