I've been looking for queens since ant season began, but haven't had any luck. I've found a lot of established colonies, but no queens running around.
If you have caught any queens in this area, please tell me where it was.
The time of day would be helpful as well, since I've been checking some places in the morning, and other places in the afternoon, but very few places at night.

Just found a pavement ant (tetramorium caespitum) queen in Reno! Walking around on the ground, mid day in the shade. First find of the year!
