I just found over 30 of these queens on one plant! Its amazing they love this plant so much, But why are they just standing on the leaves? is that what this species of ant does?

They possibly climbed the plant ready to start their nuptial flight.

Yes it's not uncommon for them to find a high point to start their flight from. I've seen them up tree's, on the sides of houses and buildings and even saw a car that was parked next to a Solenopsis mound covered in them. Kinda like hang gliders that want a high point to start off with to get better distance.

Yes I thought that but a lot of them didn't have wings and I even saw one of them rip of their wings

The main colony will scout out the planed flight point first to make sure it's safe for the flight then the others will join for the flight.

But most of the queens did not have wings, and one ripped its wings off.
