Camponotus nuptial flights in California

Hello Everyone,

I am new to ant keeping and right now I have four tetramorium queens that are doing really well. Each queen has about 12 or more workers, which makes me very excited and happy, however, I am hoping to get more diversity in my ant keeping. I have been trying to find a camponotus queen for weeks but have been unable to. Does anyone know if they are still flying in northern California and what suggestions do you all recommend to help finding one?

Appreciate any responses.

Yeah well that's a generalization for all North America. It varies greatly by state.

I saw a Camponotus queen on July 22nd but missed the opportunity to catch her. I saw a dead Formica ravida queen on July 29th. I found Lasius alienus queens on August 3rd. I don't know if they're still flying, but I'm sure you can still find Formica and Lasius flying.
