I have 7 Queens since our Monsoon rains started this week. I believe they are Solenopsis Xyloni, but that is not confirmed.

I live near you so I got hit with that monsoon to. Today I went to my neighborhood park and found a queen and had no idea what species it was. Would have caught it but then I saw another queen that looked exactly the same. Then I saw another, then I found the ant hill. It turns out that it's nuptual fight had just begun so I left it.

I have 10 queens now, oddly enough there were two queens walking around inside at work today. I quickly stuck them in some empty water bottles to bring them home to their test tubes. Either I need to order more test tubes or be content with 10 for this season
