Nuptial flight in Kentucky
Just caught 18 Camponotus pennsylvanicus queens in Lexington, KY. Their has been lots of rain and cool temperatures over the past few weeks. This week is gonna be a hot one so keep your eyes open.
Re: Nuptial flight in Kentucky
Sorry I was wrong about the species. It's actually Tetramorium caesptium that are having their nuptial flights right now.
Re: Nuptial flight in Kentucky
While Tetramorium are flying right now, Camponotus will probably b2 flying late into the summer.

Lol in my area that's ALL I get. That and an occasional Lasius Neoniger.

consider its ways and be wise!

no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
