Nuptial flight in Kentucky

Just caught 18 Camponotus pennsylvanicus queens in Lexington, KY. Their has been lots of rain and cool temperatures over the past few weeks. This week is gonna be a hot one so keep your eyes open.

Sorry I was wrong about the species. It's actually Tetramorium caesptium that are having their nuptial flights right now.

While Tetramorium are flying right now, Camponotus will probably b2 flying late into the summer.

Lucky lol. I found 3 Formica queens...2 yesterday and 1 today. I know Tetramorium are around here cuz they are everywhere else but around my house.

I would love something different like formica, or camponutice! The grass is always greener....
