I'm having a lot of trouble housing these ants! I've had to move them from test tubes to dollar store pepper shakers with a plastic lid because they kept chewing through the cotton and escaping (I managed to find them all surprisingly) and now one has chewed through duck tape AND the plastic pepper shaker lids. These Queens are being a nuisance.

Managed to figure out that the caps from the water picks I'm using are rubber and too tough to chew through, so I've put those on top of the cotton plug (It has a few holes in the cap for flower stems but they're too small for escapes from this big species) and so far nobody has been able to escape, even the ones who can chew through the cotton up to the cap.

Also I've left them alone for two-three days and checked pm them this morning and two Queens have eggs! One has three the other has five. I'm quite thrilled!
