So I'm having problems with my crematogaster sp.'S eggs not hatching, decided to change to water as it was limited and pinkish.
Being the "genius" I am, I decided to use a syringe to inject the water into the tube. I put too much water it, minorly flooding the test tube, after drying I noticed the queen was alive, just in the corner of the tube seeming scared. I feel soooo bad.

I just realized this isn't a question, but you can all tell me what to do from here, as I am obviously a noob.

Dry the inside with a Q-tip. Leave them alone, heat the test tube. This course of action should fix your problem and get you workers fairly quickly.

I did that after the incident and today she was in a corner tending to her eggs. On behalf of the heat to facilitate egg growth, how warm?

A plain old heating cable should work.

Could I use a heating blanket on low but partly touching the test tube. 78F?

That should work. You can put it over the entirety of the wet side and partially touching the dry.

Just FYI, I have had consistently poor results heating the water side of a test tube. It always seems to cause flooding eventually. I have had better results heating the opposite end near the entrance. I use a modified heating pad (on it's lowest setting). I put it just under the opening of the tube so that it allows for a temperature gradient.
