I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this question but when a colony has a nuptial flight is it the only one they have or do they have multiple throughout the year?

I have personally witnessed the Lasius sp. colony that lives under my front steps have multiple.

Pretty sure they can have multiple too - I don't know how/why though or if much research has been done on it either.

I am thinking they do but is just something I've been curious about. I don't see why they wouldn't have multiple to be honest but I know each sp could is different as well.
