OK guys big news found a queen don't know if she is mated she was close to a colony but still collected her and she is in a test tube set up

Seeing as ants are becoming active up north in Indiana, I'd say yes.

I'm fairly sure they are fire ants. I got them at my job. But near my home there is a golden colored ant that I'm on the hunt for.
