I found 3 camponotus queens 4 tetramorium queens and a bunch of pharoh ant alates here in ohio

Hey Camponotus are everywhere here in Lexington ky! I was able to catch 7 within 30 mins.! Also 2 small (~5mm) other species but I haven't identified them yet. It has been a successful first ant hunt!

Haven't been able to find anything in the past few days. I've only seen two queens this summer and on both occasions I was not able to capture them. I just went out after the rain we had a few days ago and even then still nothing. Anyone having better luck recently?

There were a ton of queen ants out today. I caught 5 crematogaster crease queens and 3 pheidole tysoni queens! :D :D :D

I found 3 ponera pennsylvanica queens and a myrmica. Today's semi-claustral day I guess.
