As suspected, my Queen was infertile from last year, so released her in favorable conditions late August.
Anyone seeing anything yet this year?

I've been looking quite a bit. Unfortunately I found a dead Camponotus Penn. Queen while at work on a roof. I saw last week one winged novaeboracensis with a super major and just one male a few nights ago. I'm hoping I get a couple this year usually when I catch one their are many around.

I have only seen one brachymyrmex queen, idk if it was from a flight it was just a dark brown one on the side of a shed. When I had tried to capture her, she had quickly escaped into a crack in the wood and I never saw her again lol.

I have so many I stopped collecting them. They take up 50% of my 50 tubes.KuroiOokami wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 6:21 amI have only seen one brachymyrmex queen, idk if it was from a flight it was just a dark brown one on the side of a shed.
