Seems like there could be a possible flight right now. It's 3:37am (North-East Pennsylvania), and I have seen a lot of drones so far, and 1 queen. Possibly a Formica spp.

Hi guys, sorry to revive the thread, but im a newer ant keeper, and im fascinated by pheidole. I live in collegeville, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place for me to monitor for pheidole flights this year.

Western PA, I’m not 100% sure of the species, but these ants have been waiting around their nests for the past few days, and today they’ve finally started flying.

Southwest PA, I’ve already caught 2 different queens, both are carpenter ants. Found them after 5 PM

Pavement ants had a flight this morning, southwest PA. I found 2 queens but lots of dead or dying males.

It’s been a few days and I’m still spotting Pavement Ant queens roaming around Southwest PA looking for homes, so don’t give up yet if you haven’t seen any yet!
