Over the past few years (in a few different areas of Maryland, USA), I've captured Formica Sub. queens on July 10th/11th, the day after a good storm. There was a decent thunderstorm over the past week and I was out looking, but couldn't find any queens (plenty of workers and majors).

Has anyone seen or been able to capture any Formica Sub. queens yet this summer?

I did find some Formica cf. Subsericea about that time.
