Re: My Solenopsis Xyloni Colonies Journal!
Hello!
So... I guess this will be a journal
Where should I start?
...
I Know!
CHAPTER I
First and foremost, this journal will be for my 3 Xyloni queens, so I need name suggestions
But I might as well start with the one I have housed in a smaller test tube
Imagine a park, with trees, birds, lots of ant colonies and a lot of people running trying to get thinner
There is where I found her, one of the three queens that I found there, although for some odd reason she is my favorite
I found here, in the midst of a storm, it was starting to rain as I walked through the park hoping to find queen ants before I had to go
And then I found one, then two, and finally the third, and rather admittedly I do not remember which one was her, but it really doesn't matter
Well, after the rain got rather heavy I got to my car and went away, back home, and soon to be their home too
CHAPTER II
Well, I arrived home and I immediately did what I knew I had to do
I went to my room and grabbed the three test tubes I had, as the store in which I had bought them only asked for one or two test tubes a week, always arriving on Monday
Then I got the "ingredients", being cotton and filtered water
When all was set up, I got to the kitchen and made the 3 test tubes "setups"
I got the queens in there, which was quite hard if I may add, but finally, I was able to do it without injuring the queens
After that, I housed them in my closet and went to sleep, as it was quite late
CHAPTER III
After that time went swiftly, but not after I decided it was better to house them inside a shoebox
I checked them regularly, 4 times a day as I couldn't resist watching them, although, as the days passed I only checked them twice
One of them actually made a small tunnel inside the cotton at the end of the test tube, and the other two just chilled for the rest of the first day
And today, I am happy to say that my favorite queen, the one housed in the smaller test tube and which didn't seem to mind my checking a lot, has laid 5 eggs!
As for the other, since they mind my checking more, I will see another day
And for now, that is all, and as a note, I will need names for my queens!
Please feel free to suggest one or two!
Also, did you like this type of journal, or should I write more informally?
Thanks for reading!
