I'm sorry ACFAM, I haven't shared with you enough about my Camponotus Laevigatus queen who is one of the largest gals I've ever seen.

Last year when I was catching them I was almost intimidated by the size, and there FAST, the workers are VERY FAST.

But anyways this girl is in the ballpark of 22-24MM or roughly 2.3cm!

She's had her success with her first year only pulling off TWO workers. She now has one recent newcomer to help her because the original nanitic has perished. So now she has a small pile forming and I expect her to do well. That is.. if she can figure out to move next door to her brand new test tube..

An ants' strength can be rivaled by few animals compared to relative body size.
