4 days ago (July 11), I put 14 queens of the species Formica subsericea into the same test tube knowing they were polygynous. Two days later (July 13), I checked on them and they had around 35 or so eggs! It was so cool. A few queens had shedded there wings and put them in neat pile, meanwhile other queens were busy pulling at the cotton? It was funny, ‘cause it was as of the were making a little bed. (They we’re probably trying to get out). Today, july 15, I checked on them again and they had even more eggs, in the 50s i believed.
I will continue to give updates on the queens about every three two four days. And during this journal I might talk about my other colony.

Update #1
July 18
I took a look on the queens yesterday and…. It looked as though the queens had doubled in eggs! I also noticed that most of the queens are now hanging out on the cotton plug blocking the water, (except for threee.)
