I saw a tetramorium queen today I wasn't able to catch, bummed me out. But keep your test tubes and vials on you!

So went hunting for queen up hear all day almost and nothing think it git a little to cold with the rain did find a huge carpenter ant nest about the length of half a basketball court had 5 or 6 entrances it is Goliath has to have multiple queens or is a bunch of nests in one spot that nest was supper active but other nest were very sluggish

I think the tempature went up for a few days and then there were a few nuptial flights. After that it got cold again and there has been little ant activity.

The ant colony outside my house has widen their entrance! Those in the Phoenix area should be on the look out. Nuptial flight is about to begin!
